THE BALCONY OF THE VALLE DEL CAUCA

Starting from the beautiful Finca Hotel EL Zafiro, located in the municipality of Montenegro, Quindío, passing through beautiful roads and the imposing canyon of the La Vieja River that divides the departments of Quindío and Valle del Cauca, to the beautiful and majestic landscapes of Seville, the Balcony of Valle del Cauca, participants, from the 1st day, will enjoy all the magic of the coffee cultural landscape of Colombia.

DAY 3
A “CITTASLOW” CITY

We leave the picturesque and colonial balconies of Seville and through beautiful green canyons full of coffee, banana and avocado crops we return to the green heart of Colombia. Genova and its coffee culture will welcome us and accompanied by magical landscapes, we head towards the end of the 2nd stage in Pijao, Quindío.

DAY 4
THE FATHER TOWN

The central mountain range and its beautiful and imposing landscapes will be the stars of the day! At various points along the route, between coffee and banana plantations, you will be able to see the beautiful department of Quindío. At the end, the road will take us to one of its iconic heritage towns, Salento, birthplace of the Wax Palm, Colombia’s national tree.

DAY 5
THE MAGICAL WAX PALM

Starting from the beautiful and iconic royal street of Salento and its beautiful and picturesque balconies, we will head towards the roof of this magical experience, the mythical “alto del Toche” at more than 3,300 m.a.s.l., from where we will descend to the magical forest of Palmas de Cera. There, in the middle of a mind-blowing landscape, we will regain energy for the return to Salento.

THE ILLUMINATED HILL

The iconic royal street of Salento, Quindío and its picturesque balconies will bid farewell to the participants who, among beautiful coffee plantations, bamboo groves, banana trees and beautiful landscapes, will head towards Filandia, Quindio, the land of baskets, where the imposing Illuminated Hill Viewpoint will welcome them.

DAY 7
FROM THE MOUNTAIN TO THE RIVER

Filandia and its iconic Street of Stopped Time will mark the start of the last stage of this adventure, which after visiting Ulloa, a small municipality in the Valle del Cauca, will take participants through the beautiful coffee landscapes of Quimbaya, ending at the Finca Hotel El Zafiro.

Unfortunately, today we will have to say goodbye. Our team will take you to the agreed point so that you can continue your adventure or return home to share this experience with your family and friends.

During this trip you will be able to visit some of the most incredible places in the Coffee Region, especially for those who enjoy discovering the world on their bicycle. Some of the places we will take you to are:
Sevilla Valle del Cauca: Known as “The Balcony of the Cauca Valley”, Sevilla is a beautiful municipality located in the Central Andes Mountains, belonging to the department of Valle del Cauca, famous for its coffee culture and the beautiful landscapes that can be seen from its viewpoints.
Pijao, Quindío: Pijao is a destination where life goes by at a slower pace. The goal is to return to the local culture, to the recognition of values ​​and natural resources.
The facades, portals, windows and balconies decorated with flowers reflect how Pijao maintains tradition in its architecture.

Salento, Quindío: Salento, the so-called father municipality of Quindío tourism and a beautiful heritage town, with its beautiful royal street full of crafts, its magical Cocora Valley, its history and its people.
Filandia, Quindío: The beautiful municipality of Filandia, Quindío, famous for its iconic baskets and its impressive viewpoint.
La Carbonera: a magical place with the largest number of wax palms in the world. This treasure, sheltered by large mountains, holds nearly 600,000 wax palms –of the 700,000 that exist in Colombia– in an area of ​​4,500 hectares.
