OVERVIEW

Join us for an unforgettable 4-day, 3-night cycling adventure in Quindío, the green heart of Colombia. This unique tour combines thrilling cycling routes through the scenic landscapes of the Central Andes with a rich cultural immersion into the world of Colombian coffee. Participants will ride through coffee farms, interact with local farmers, and learn about the intricate processes behind one of the world’s most famous coffees. The journey also takes you to magical towns like Salento, home of Colombia’s National Tree, the Wax Palm, and offers experiences that awaken the senses. This tour is perfect for cycling enthusiasts who seek adventure, culture, and unforgettable views.

DAY 1
ARRIVAL & WELCOME

Upon arrival in Quindío, participants will be greeted at their hotel with a warm welcome and check-in. In the evening, we’ll hold a welcome session where participants can meet their fellow cyclists and guides. We’ll go over the itinerary, provide insights into the region’s cycling routes, and share an introduction to Colombian coffee culture. This day is all about settling in, preparing for the days ahead, and getting excited for the adventure.

DAY 2
COFFEE CYCLING IMMERSION

• Morning:
  After breakfast, we’ll embark on our first ride through the rolling hills and vibrant landscapes of Quindío’s coffee-growing region. Pedal along scenic trails that wind through coffee plantations, where you’ll stop to interact with local coffee pickers and farmers. Here, you’ll learn firsthand about the art of growing, harvesting, and processing Colombia’s finest coffee beans. It’s an authentic experience that connects you to the heart of Colombia’s coffee culture.
• Afternoon:
  In the afternoon, we’ll take a break from cycling to dive into the world of coffee tasting. Participants will enjoy a basic sensory skills workshop, where you’ll discover how to appreciate coffee’s aromas, flavors, and textures. You’ll learn the art of cupping and deepen your understanding of how different factors influence coffee profiles.

DAY 3
THE MAGIC OF SALENTO: CHOCOLATE & WAX PALM

• Morning:
  Today’s ride will take us on a picturesque route through the Central Andes mountains, with breathtaking views at every turn. Our destination is the charming town of Salento, known for its colorful streets and iconic Wax Palm trees, the tallest palm trees in the world and Colombia’s National Tree. In Salento, we’ll explore its heritage and visit a local chocolatier to learn about the making of Colombian chocolate—an ideal pairing for our coffee-focused adventure.

• Afternoon:
  After lunch, we’ll continue with a visit to “La Carbonera,” the largest Wax Palm forest in the world. Take in the stunning views of this natural wonder while learning about its ecological significance and the role it plays in Colombia’s biodiversity. This magical experience will be a highlight of the trip, leaving participants in awe of Quindío’s natural beauty.

DAY 4
TIME TO COME BACK HOME

• Morning:
  On our final day, we’ll set off on a shorter, relaxed ride through the countryside, soaking in the last moments of Quindío’s scenic landscapes. As the tour comes to a close, it’s time to head back, but not without a bag full of the finest coffee beans to take home.
  After the ride, participants will have time to pack, enjoy one last cup of Colombian coffee, and prepare for their journey home.
